Born and raised in Denver, CO, 26 year old Chris Burandt was introduced to his first love at the age of 5. With a natural talent to ride snowmachines, Chris decided to take his efforts to the track and make a name in the snocross industry.  Racing was a success for the teenager but over time, speed and standard doubles weren't enough excitement for the Colorado native. Chris had a strong competitive edge but was most interested in giving the crowd a show by seeing how far he could make his 500 pound machine fly. In 1999, it was the keen eye of Slednecks' Founder and CEO Jason Moriarty who recognized Chris' talents and invited the 20 year old to join the Slednecks crew on a film shoot with industry ambassador's, Blair Morgan and Tucker Hibbert.Chris recognized the value in the opportunity with Slednecks and was determined to appear in the industry's leading film series, alongside the world's top snowmobile athletes. Within weeks Burandt shocked Moriarty and fellow riders by taking big air to the next level. That September, Slednecks 3 was released, showcasing Burandt's talent and ability nationally, opening the door to his career as a professional snowmobiler.
